Eco Roller Handover Brings Relief to Ncera Community
June 2026
Isithembiso Multipurpose Organization on the 12th of May 2026 hosted an Eco Roller handover event at the Ncera Information Resource Center. A total of 50 beneficiaries received Eco Rollers aimed at easing the burden of water collection in the community.
The beneficiaries represented a diverse group from the community, with the majority being women farmers, alongside people living with disabilities and men. The handover ceremony was attended by representatives from the Office of the Councilor as well as Thobeka Buswana School for Girls.
The beneficiaries expressed great excitement and appreciation, as Ncera has faced long-standing water challenges for many years. For many households and farmers, collecting water has been physically demanding and time-consuming. The Eco Rollers will significantly reduce the burden of transporting water, making daily life and farming activities easier and more manageable.
Farmers especially welcomed the initiative, noting that access to water is essential for sustaining their gardens and agricultural activities. The support received through this donation will contribute positively to food production and household wellbeing within the community.
On behalf of the Ncera community, Isithembiso Multipurpose Organization extends heartfelt gratitude to Water Rollers Africa and Rolling Water Foundation for their generosity and commitment to supporting communities facing water access challenges.
